Photographer Mihaela Noroc travels the world to capture cultural diversity and provide a comprehensive encyclopedia of beauty. In her ongoing, empathetic chronicle dubbed The Atlas of Beauty, Mihaela already travelled to 37 countries in search of women with a genuine look that visually tell a story about their geographical space. “For me beauty means diversity, it means to assume your genetic treasure and origins, it means to be yourself,” she describes.
This idea was born on a trip to Ethiopia in January 2013. “Ethiopia was a revelation for me. There I uncovered the most interesting female faces I’ve ever seen. The Ethiopian women are delicate and feminine, although their lifestyle is the same as it was a few hundred years ago.”
