Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (Yes, I may be pretty behind the times on this one but I’m strangely comfortable with that)
I move around a bit too often to get attached to any particular state’s set of laws or representatives and I’m not from this senator’s home state. I just saw her campaign Off the Sidelines and had to share it with everyone. It’s an interesting campaign that should allow more women to get into and stay in the work force. There are five parts to it.
- Paid family and medical leave
- Increase the minimum wage
- Universal Pre-K
- Quality Affordable Child Care
- Equal Pay
It’s an interesting solution and offers several opportunities for women to get “off the sidelines” and stand up for what they need.
