Ending Gender Inequality in the Workplace

I thought this was interesting.


I recently created a petition called “Eliminate the Glass Ceiling and Provide Management Programs for Women!” in hopes to take a step forward in gender equality in the United States of America. A woman only make 60 cents to a man’s 100 cents which is very unequal (Aulette & Wittner 2012). The “glass ceiling” which is defined by the US Department of Labor as the artificial barriers based on attitudinal or organizational bias that prevent qualified individuals from advancing upward in their organization into management-level positions is a problem for women all over the country (Aulette & Wittner 2012). I am creating awareness for this issue by having as many people sign this petition as I can. I have done numerous research, and I have not been able to find many management programs geared towards women which is very shocking.
